“A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman.”
Women (or Naaree in Hindi) are a symbol of strength. A mother, daughter, sister, wife and daughter-in-law are some of the many roles we assume. Slowly but steadily, we are rising and ruling.
Gone are those days when women were just placed in the kitchen to make hot rotis. Welcome to the new day where women are crossing hurdles, breaking stereotypes and emerging victoriously in corporate, media and the conservative society.
This Hindi poem (Naaree) is dedicated to all the Indian women. Whether you are a housewife, student or a boss at work this poem is for YOU!
Jo tootey dil ko jodti hai,
Jo har mushkil ko asaan kar chodti hai,
Jo sachai ki chaadar odhthi hai
Wahi Naaree kehlaati hai .
Hey Naaree! Tu swayam durga Ka roop hai,
Shanthi Ka swaroop hai,
Kabhi Tu Maa , Kabhi Tu behen hai,
Dukhon ko kiya tune bahot sehen hai.
Kadam se kadam aaj tu mila rahi hai har mard se,
Aankh milati hai Tu har dard se.
Tujhee se Aaj tujhee se kal hai,
Har mushkil Ka tere pass hal hai.
Pehle jaisi na rahi tu choole chaukey wali,
Sirf shaadi karke banne ghar wali.
Aaj naksha banaya hai tune Bharat ka,
Izzat ki imaarat Ka,
Guroor hai Tu har pita Ka,
Iss desh ke maan-samman Ka.
Girati hai duniya tujhe kaee baar,
Sahe hai tune kaee waar,
Magar gira na paya koi tere takat ki deewar,
Aaj har shetra ki nayya ki hai tune paar.
Ye duniya poojti bhi tujhe hai naaree,
Roop lekar ganga , Yamuna aur Kaveri,
Mashoor hai Inn namo se kahani teri,
Mamta se teri sadhgi hoti hai poori.
